Crowns
A crown is a full-coverage restoration. This means it covers the entire visible surface of the tooth, and unlike removable dental appliances such as dentures, crowns are fused onto existing teeth or implants. A crown can not only provide strength to a damaged tooth, it can also improve the aesthetics such as appearance, shape, or alignment. We will often recommend a crown for a number of reasons, such as:
- You have a tooth has a cavity that is too large for a filling
- You want to cover a discolored or shaped tooth
- You have a missing tooth and need a bridge
- You need to cover a dental implant
- You have a tooth that is cracked
- You have had a root canal and your tooth has become discolored
