What happens at a first visit?

An exam, any X-rays you need, a cleaning when a cleaning is the right first step, and a written plan in plain language. No treatment is booked during the visit unless you ask for it.

A first visit, step by step

How do I book?

Request an appointment online, or call us at (970) 237-4313. If evenings are easier, we are open until 7pm Monday through Wednesday.

What if I am nervous?

Tell us when you book. We explain what we find, with photos and X-rays, before anyone talks about treatment, and a first visit is an exam and a conversation.

How will I know my costs?

We file your insurance claims for you and tell you your estimated portion before treatment begins. Without insurance, you can ask us for a written Good Faith Estimate.

Our philosophy

Prevention and education come first

We start by asking what your goals are, then build a custom treatment plan around them. There is no single right answer, and each of these approaches is respected and considered.

Teeth for a lifetime

For those hoping to preserve their natural teeth for a lifetime, we plan ahead: prevent what can be prevented, catch problems early, and protect what is healthy.

Financially appropriate care

For those prioritizing solutions that make financial sense, we sequence and scale treatment honestly, so care fits your life as well as your mouth.

Palliative care

For patients with complex medical histories or end-of-life considerations, we focus on comfort: relieving pain, preventing infection, and keeping eating and speaking as easy as possible.

Care is a team effort

We recognize the value of connection, and we work as a team with specialists across the region, coordinating your care with them and with your physician. When a case calls for a specialist, we will talk through who we recommend for you and why, and we stay involved while they treat you.

Services

Care that starts with prevention

The care we provide, from prevention and diagnosis to restoring and replacing teeth.

Prevention & education

Everything we do starts here. Exams, cleanings, and radiographs on a schedule set for your mouth, plus honest coaching on home care. Most of our work is keeping you from needing the rest of this list.

Oral-systemic health

The mouth is the gateway to the body. We look beyond the teeth for the oral signs of whole-body health, and coordinate with your physician when it matters.

Diagnosis you can see

Our habit is to show the evidence: clear photos and radiographs, and a written clarification and diagnosis of every issue we find. You see what we see before anyone talks about treatment, and that written record also supports appropriate insurance reimbursement.

Restorative care

Tooth-colored fillings and crowns aimed at preserving your natural tooth. If a tooth needs treatment we do not provide, such as a root canal, we refer you to a specialist we trust and coordinate your care. If something is not healing as expected, we reassess and discuss options.

Tooth replacement

When a tooth truly cannot be preserved, we plan its replacement, such as an implant, and coordinate with the specialists we trust. Replacing a tooth is the last resort, not the first recommendation.

Care for all ages

From a child’s first visit to grandparents’ ongoing maintenance, care stays prevention-first and educational at every age, paced to the person in the chair.

About

Meet Dr. Jill Kollar

Dr. Kollar owns and leads Precision Dental of Windsor, which has served the community for over 11 years. She takes dental infections seriously and practices with the mouth-body connection in view, the premise behind the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH): connecting medicine and dentistry.

Evidence matters. Individual assessment matters.

  • Individual assessment matters. Each tooth and each patient assessed on their own facts, never a template.
  • Preserve first. Saving your natural teeth, comfort, and function comes before replacing anything.
  • Unhurried by design. A smaller schedule, so appointments never feel rushed.

Her interest in the mouth-body connection comes from her first degree. Bodies as connected systems was her training long before it was her philosophy.

New patients welcome

Your first visit includes a full exam, any needed X-rays, a cleaning when a cleaning is the right first step, and a plain-language plan for anything we find, with no pressure to book treatment during the visit. If we find gum disease, the right first step is a deeper cleaning, and we will plan that with you instead.

Have dental insurance? We will file your claims for you and tell you your estimated portion before treatment begins.

If you have concerns about a tooth, or about how your oral health relates to your overall health, let's talk.

Save time at your first visit: download your patient forms and bring them completed.
